Self Exposure «Memory Patriots Vitebsk region, 1941-1945»

The exposition is housed in the basements of the Vitebsk theological school building, which during the Nazi occupation of Vitebsk was home to the Security Service Operational Team (SD-9) (from August 1941 to December 1943). The upper floors of the building were used for interrogations, while the basement served as a prison cell. According to incomplete figures, 3,026 people had passed through the SD prison cells between July 18 and December 18, 1942 alone.

The restored cells provide photo-documentary materials about the Vitebsk underground heroes who languished there: Vera Khoruzhaya, Sofia Pankova, Evdokiya Suranova, Antonina Yermakovich, Raisa Sheryakova, Eduard Grebenkov, Lidiya Berezkina and others.
