History Museum of Vitebsk People's Art School

The museum is located in a mansion where the Vitebsk People's Art School, founded by Marc Chagall, worked from 1918 to 1923. The building is a historical and cultural monument of architecture of the early twentieth century.

The Museum of History of Vitebsk Folk Art School covers the history and culture of Vitebsk of the 19th-20th centuries. It tells the story of artists such as Marc Chagall, Kazimir Malevich, El Lissitzky and many others as well as of the creative association UNOVIS ("Establishers of New Art"). The museum is equipped with multimedia equipment, which allows you to immerse yourself in the theme of Russian avant-garde. Tour service and individual visits are provided.
