Vitebsky Central Sport Complex

It is the home stadium of the team of the Higher League of the Championship of Belarus Football Club "Vitebsk". Basketball club "Rubon" and volleyball club "Marko" hold their home matches in the sports hall.

The sports complex is the result of the reconstruction of the "Dynamo" stadium, built in 1937 (according to other sources - in 1950). In 1980-86 the stadium was reconstructed. The stands could seat 5,500 spectators.

In 1998 it was decided to reconstruct the stadium "Dinamo" in two stages. The first stage included reconstruction of the western stand with increasing its seat capacity up to 8 thousand people, building of a light canopy over the stand, installation of lighting masts and a digital scoreboard, building of a modern heated soccer pitch.

On April, 8th, 2003 the sports facility received a new name - the state establishment of physical training and sports "Vitebsk Central Sports Complex".

In 2005 the sports complex received a special UEFA license which allows to organize international soccer matches.

The second phase of construction of the complex involves the construction of the northern and eastern stands to increase the capacity of the stadium to 15 thousand people.
